Ayurveda Courses
Our comprehensive Ayurveda courses are designed for those who wish to deepen their understanding of ancient Indian approaches to health. We welcome a wide range of health practitioners who wish to expand their qualifications, including yoga teachers, massage therapists, nutritionists, and doctors of Western medicine. Our courses are open to all who wish to help others rejuvenate, detoxify, and live a more balanced life.
Three levels of Ayurveda Certification
- Level 1: Foundations of Ayurveda
- Level 2: Advanced Ayurveda
- Level 3: Ayurveda Apprenticeship
All students will receive a certificate on completion of each level of our study programs. A successful completion of all three levels of our Ayurveda training program, including our supervised clinical apprenticeship, will result in a full certification as an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner.

Study Schedule
- Every day starts at 6:30am with a yoga session, followed by breakfast
- The main study session for all of our Ayurveda courses starts at 10am and continues till 11:30am. This session typically includes Vedic text studies, Panchakarma theory, or bodywork
- At 1:00pm we break for lunch
- Apprenticeship students will meet again at 2pm for supervised clinic hours
- Evening meditation is between 5:00pm & 6:00pm.
- Classes are generally held Monday through Friday, but additional sessions may be scheduled on Saturday if necessary
Accommodation and Fees
All accommodations for those attending our Ayurveda courses are shared. Both housing and full board are included in the fees for the entire duration of your studies at the Mountain Top Clinic.

Our Ayurveda Courses
LEVEL 1: FOUNDATIONS OF AYURVEDA (Duration: one month)
Acceptance Criteria: Students must be eighteen years of age or older and have a good command of the English language.
Course Description: This is a very high level introductory program in Ayurvedic Medicine, providing students with a solid foundation from which to explore the deeper applications of Ayurveda. Students who complete this program may continue their studies to become an Ayurvedic Therapist or begin to integrate what they have learned into complementary modalities (including massage therapy and Yoga). Graduates of this program may also choose to take part in our Level 2 Advanced Ayurveda program.
LEVEL 2: ADVANCED AYURVEDA (Duration: one month)
Acceptance Criteria: This level is open to applicants who have taken part in our Level 1 Foundations of Ayurveda course. Other certifications may be considered as well, please specify in your application where you have previously studied Ayurveda.
Course Description: Our Level 2 Advanced Ayurveda course offers continued training in Ayurvedic theory and practice for students planning a clinical career as an Ayurvedic Therapist. Graduates will possess a deeper understanding of constitutional imbalance and the Ayurvedic perspective of pathology, and will be able to consult with clients utilizing Ayurvedic principles, including lifestyle management and basic Ayurvedic herbalism.
LEVEL 3: ADVANCED AYURVEDA (Duration: Three months)
Acceptance Criteria: This course is open to applicants with degree-level education, doctoral degrees, or fully qualified therapists (including yoga teachers), and those who have taken part in our Level 1 and Level 2 Ayurveda courses.
Course Description: Internship is the transition from student to practitioner. The apprenticeship is the most important time in a student’s learning experience. The MTC offers a unique opportunity to experience the daily practices in our Ayurveda clinic and receive one-on-one, in-depth learning from our doctors. The apprenticeship program includes continuing theory studies, supervised clinical application hours, and reviews leading to a full certification as an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner.
